Oscar Elizondo, a Pharr, Texas-based professional, is currently stepping into a new stage of his career with a growing focus on the construction industry after years of experience in healthcare and other sectors. Elizondo has developed a diverse professional background, and his move into construction is supported by his earlier involvement in real estate investment and project management. Oscar’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas–Rio Grande Valley. He began his career in corporate tax preparation and accounting, working with mid-sized and large organizations. These early roles helped him build a clear understanding of financial systems, budgeting, and operational processes. He later transitioned into a regional manager role at ADP Payroll Processing, Inc., where he focused on expanding operations across South Texas and maintaining client relationships. His contributions were recognized with Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year awards.

Early Professional Career and Corporate

FoundationsElizondo broadened his professional experience by becoming active in real estate. After earning his real estate license on his first attempt, he worked as both an investor and agent, completing more than $20 million in property transactions between 2012 and 2018. This experience strengthened his understanding of market demand, property valuation, and transaction management.

Oscar’s involvement in construction began in 2003 when he started building homes alongside his cousin Rudy Elizondo. What began as a smaller effort gradually developed into a more structured path. Over time, he remodeled his own properties and refined the skills that later supported his business direction. In 2019, he established Zondo Construction and Zondo Roofing, overseeing residential homes, apartment complexes, and commercial buildings across South Texas.

Elizondo has also focused on renovation and restoration work, particularly in remodeling churches, commercial buildings, and residential properties. These projects require coordination, structural awareness, and attention to detail. His approach emphasizes maintaining the original integrity of buildings while improving functionality and efficiency. He has also expanded his roofing services and is exploring the addition of foundation repair to provide more comprehensive construction solutions.

Elizondo spends his time outside of work cycling, running, fishing, hiking, and following Tthe exas Longhorns athletics. As a father, he continues to support his children as they pursue careers in healthcare, maintaining a connection to that field.

Oscar Elizondo continues to focus on expanding his construction work, including residential and commercial projects, as well as remodeling and roofing services. With plans to expand into foundation repair, he remains committed to improving the built environment while contributing to the long-term development of communities across Texas.
